A couple of years ago my family and I were vacationing in a major city during Spring Break. While dining outside on the “strip”, we noticed this cool electric cart driving down the street with “Text for a Free Ride” on the back window. For most of our trip we were using Uber/Lyft to get back and forth to attractions. As such the costs were getting a little steep, so we opted to try the free ride back to our hotel. It seemed like a different experience from then a traditional rideshare and it was FREE. I texted the number and a car showed up shortly after. Our driver took a scenic route to show my family and I some artistic areas of downtown and share a little history of some of the landmarks. A few weeks later scrolling through some pictures of our vacation – we realized that ride and the experience that came along with was one of the highlights from the trip. It was our belief that the city of Atlanta, our city could benefit from something like this. It was fun, eco-friendly and convenient. So we started Let’s Ride Atlanta a little over a year after that family vacation.

Let’s Ride Atlanta offers free rides within a one to three mile radius in the heart of Atlanta in electric carts. We may serve as a personal tour guide within our route for visitors during major events such as the Super Bowl; we may serve locals and visitors alike who wish to go from the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola or the Center for Civil and Human Rights to a neighboring restaurant or back to their hotel, or one may get a ride from parking a mile or less away from the Fox Theater or Mercedes-Benz stadium when closer parking is not available. At the same time, we offer local and big businesses an opportunity to advertise with us. We serve as a mobile billboard and brand ambassador while serving our community and visitors by offering free rides when it’s most needed, and least expected. All in an eco-friendly environment.
